where to get L-88 hood

Mine came from J.C.Whitney. You can get them with or without the airbox for the same price.

There is a company called Vanacor near New Orleans that makes them for other vendors. Their price is $425 plus shipping. I think that Ecklers is the only other company that makes their own.

I've heard they have the best prices too, wish I would have known about that years ago, I would have gotten an air box with mine. What surprised me was that people said the quality wqas good, I never expected that from JCW

just bought and installed one from Ecklers $549 plus shipping has to go 18 wheeler ground becouse of size so shipping to a business witch was cheaper was $100 total $649 and it took some work to install was not a direct bolt in had to enlongate the bolt holes in the hindges then there is the locking mech. thats a nother story but looks killer and more room under the hood to 2 1/4" more cleareance

L-88 Hood :(

I just wish someone would make one that would be maybe 2" more clearance. :)

I thought about getting one and cutting the top portion of the hood off and making it taller but to cut up an expensive hood like this kinda rubs me wrong lol.

There are vendors that offer a taller scoop for our hoods, but you would have to bond it on a hood yourself. One of the people that has an L-88 hood may be willing to part with a stock hood for a fair price and if you add a scoop and some labor you could be set up.

Check out J&D Corvette in Long Beach (www.jdcorvette.com). They manufacture fiberglass corvette parts. I don't know if they have what you need, but if they do, you can avoid the middle man and buy direct from the source.

JD Corvette looks great this is the first west coast place I have seen to order parts know of any others
