C4C5, what is the correct battery that I should use for my 99, the 78P7YR or the 75P7YR? Can the bigger one fit? I was told that the
78P is bigger by about an inch or so. After measuring the hold down bracket/compartment, it seems 9.5 inches in length is about max size. That would mean that the 75P is the only one that would fit, but that battery is only 550 cca's versus the 78P's
800. I would like to put the bigger battery in the car. How?

Hi there,
Well, you see, the battery tray was originally designed for the 78 class battery, so the 78P AGM battery is a perfect fit, and will give you over 600 cold cranking amps of power. The reserve life is also excellent.
GM stepped down on size in the 02 model year, because the 75P AGM battery gave more than enough power, and didnt cost as much.
Very smart move on your part to go AGM, I must say.
Allthebest, c4c5:hb

C4C5, SEE COLUMN LOCK POST FOR UPDATE.....THANKS,
HERBIE
