Which heads and cam is best for my 1987 L98?
i wana run high 12s

Check with the nice folks at www.tpis.com Terry has been a big help to several of us here at the Action Center.

I am running Edelbrock 6089 (?) on my 90. I have yet to break the 12's, but I feel like a bad clutch allowing for nearly 3.0 second 60' times and still running 13.4 @ 106 means I am on the right track.

Another option is to have your heads reworked.

-=Jeff=- here is running solid 12's in his car. Maybe he will chime in with some other suggestions.

Depends..

What are your goals? what other mods are you doing? Just changing heads won't do much unless you have other mods planned

i wana run mid 12s
my mods are:throttle body,runners,plenum,underdrivepulleys,msd ignition,1.6 roller rockers,crane powermax 284°/292º,no pre cats,flowmaster,k&n airfilter,chip,tci tranny

Those are your current mods?

If so, what size Throttle Body? which runners. What are the rest of the specs for the cam? lift, LSA, Duration at .050"?

I am running 12.74 with my Miniram, ZZ9 cam and CNC L98 heads

58mm throttle body,accel runners Duration @ .050: 222°/230 7deg Lobe Separation: 112° Gross Lift: .509''/.528''

Most people suggest AFR 190 heads.. which are great and you can get them milled to 58cc before receiving them..

The other route is get a set of 113 casting L98 heads CNC'ed

I have also heard good things on Brodix heads and also Canfields
