which trans is stronger/what size dana rearend does a 94vette w/6speed have???

Is the ZF or the T56 trans stonger?

that stinks that the 94 ZF trans has a lower power rating. i will probably have to rebulid it when i build my 396 stroker.

so i would have to get the build sheet to see what rearend what put in my car then?

yes it is original.
it has 70k miles, ill probably rebuild the trans and the rearend when i rebuild the engine. im looking to make around 550hp with now power adders. im all about all throttle no bottle!

ZF's are extremely complex to rebuild, the parts aren't available from GM, and the special tools required are VERY expen$ive. I think ZF has several authorized rebuilders in the U.S. who do have the tools and access to the parts.

ZR-1 415ci motors make more hp & torque than that and do not have an big problems. Here is the guy to get a ZF fixed by.
