Every time I apply the brakes I get a whinning sound from the rear of the car. If I tap the brake pedal a couple of times the sound goes away. It's not a grinding sound that you would get when you need brakes and there are no bellies on the rotors. This just started and it has me concerned. Does anyone have any ideas on this problem?

HI there,
Have you recently done brakes, or had the rear spindles apart for any reason????
What is your mileage on your car????

My car has 90,700 miles and I've never put on brakes or messed with the spindles. What do you think? I also noticed if I make a turn the sound goes away. It hasn' made it in a couple of days. And while I have you here my a/c compressor started engaging and disengaging very fast making a clicking sound. Any ideas on that problem?
