Dave

Just sent an email to NitroAlley.

thanks, Dave

Try Ebay

Dave,
Have you tried Ebay? Do a search on "Corvette carpet".. Looks good to me...
Check out Item # 2417220013,# 2417133604

Hi Roy...

Got an email back from NitroAlley. They want only $135 !! Wow...thats cheap. I want to make sure its for the front AND back first. He said i have my choice of 80/20 or cutpile for that price. Hard to believe isnt it ?

Hows your vette running in the Florida heat ? Did you get the electric fans installed ?

Dave

hi dave,
you may want to look into replacing the underlay (?) heat shielding.i know its not as warm where you are ,but my feet take a beating in traffic. also i have been looking into a sound deadener, its called "dyno mat" ive heard some good things about it reducing sound levels (i know you want to hear the engine, but every now and then wifey or the radio may have something to say)

Mike,

I already have half inch insulation with one side being aluminum , under the carpeting. I ran it over the tunnel and in the back as well. Then, under the car, i glued it behind the heat shields on each side (where you place your feet) AND...'over' the M21 tunnel. Made a huge difference.
Has stayed put pretty well, and doesnt sag.
No heat comes in at all.

under the car?? you do not have any problems with water or wind affecting it? it is pretty rainy down here in the summer and no matter how you try sooner or later your going to get the car wet. if it works i think i may try it as well, my feet will thank me!1

Under the car, i installed it with the aluminum foil side out...so any water that hits it just runs off . With air moving over it and the heat from the motor/trans...theres no problem . Ive had it on now for 5 years and it looks good still and hasnt sagged. I applied it with some 500 F. silicone caulk and it really held tight. Make sure you clean up the areas that youre going to stick it to -- use some mild detergent first then let it dry before you apply the insulation with foil face.

sounds good, and relatively easy to accomplish! ill try it when i get the car back, soon hopefully
