Who likes there tires?

A buddy of mine just picked up his 2nd Vet. A 78 L82 4 speed. He wants new tires. The car has 255/60 R15's on it. Is that size acceptable? Also looking for opinions on who likes there tire choices, and who doesnt. He is probably going to go with the "Firestone Firehawk Indy 500" tire. It says Indy 500 on the side in white letters.

Indy 500 tire

I think those would be a good choice of tire for the 78, since 1978 was the first year Corvette paced the Indy 500.
I use Firestone Firehawk SS20. Too cold outside for me to check tire size. (brrr!)

Im on my second set ot BFG 255/60/15's. The first pair I bought new and got 6years out of them. I dont think I would ever change. I found a place that charged $84 each, mounted and balanced and installed.
