Lets see.............Ahhhh... You have one don't you... And Side Pipes..???

Mark
yep, I have a radio in the dash, and side pipes. And guess what, I can't hear the radio once once I've left the red light anyway and your car is louder than mine.
also, the radio barely works, gets ONE station on a good day but even after all this time, effort, and $$$ I've put into the car you haven't seen any posts from me asking about the best place to get my radio repaired have you? Nope, you haven't because it's the last priority on the car. Even if I get it repaired and working decently I probably still won't be able to hear it over the side pipes thru that lousy single speaker in the dash.

No radio but I have an 8 track player out of an Oldsmobile you can borrow!!:L

If you wanted to listen to a radio -- you should have not installed the 502 :)

The only time I turn the radio on in the car is to make sure it and the antennae are still working.

Yeah ..and I bet that cost's you $55.02 in Racing Gas...:L

Belive it or not ..in 5th at around 2000 and below I can hear the radio. Now I'm just Pee Pee-ed off that it stopped working correctly after I cleanend it up and installed a new speaker. At least I had something..!!

Now I gotta pull it agian after I just put the interior all back together and send it out for the up grade for 4- or 5 weeks..!!:mad

ummmm, new speaker?
you DID get a correct speaker with the transformer attached to it didn't you?
if you put in a standard aftermarket speaker you will fry the output stages of the radio.

of course, once you send it out for a conversion to digital innards and they upgrade all the electronics you will get to pull out that correct speaker to replace it with another one that IS a standard aftermarket speaker ;LOL

never ends, does it Mark?

Oh yeah.... Being in electronics...I know the drill.. That transformer is a choke.. and the speaker VC and choke are wired in series with the output transistor.

It's a brandy new correct speaker and Choke assembly from LIC. It worked fine for about two weeks. Now it sounds like poop.:mad I think the output transistor took a dump.

And ..I also forgot to mention.....just to make you feel better .that my Holley 850 started leaking from the bowel screws last week end. I had a small puddle at each end of the carb.

I gave the screws about a 1/32 " turn and the leaks stopped. How about that S _ _ T ...!! Brand new freaken carb...!!!!!!

Again I Say..... Holley.....CRAP....!!!!!:mad

Hi Mark,

Get yourself one of them there "pack of chewing gum sized" Ipods. It'll hold 5 weeks worth of tunes and no commercials. :)

sorry Mark, foolish me, I completely forgot you did electronics for a living. DUH!!!!!!
I feel like an idiot........ oh wait, that's normal for me though. ;LOL

you mentioning the leaks on your new Holley reminded me that I haven't checked mine for a few days now so I just ran out to the garage to check. No new leaks so it looks like I manage to stop them with the new gaskets and fuel transfer tube.
of course, now that i just said this you know they will start again......

BTW, the Somers Point Road bridge is out and I had to take Bethel Road into OC...I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY MINI VANS...how many soccer moms DO you have out here?????.....HURRY UP ladies, gas pedal on the right :hb

patience, patience........... remember, there are TWO pedals under there and they sometimes get confused which one is which!
Besides, they don't have time to remember to actually push down on the right-side pedal because they are too busy putting on make-up, talking on the cell phone, and yelling at the little rugrats in the back - all at the same time of course.
opps....... I hope my wife doesn't read this ;LOL
