My problem is that after an extensive cleaning and suspension replacement that has taken the last year to do , I put the wheels back on, topped off the fluids and started her up.
Whoa Where's that smoke coming from was the next response from my wife. The hood security switch was smoking heavily. After disconnecting the Battery. I looked around and found that the white wire that travels from the left door security switch to the right door switch to the fuse panel (not fuse though) to the hood switch and the branch off from the right door to the rear of the car (where the factory horn is) was all toasted. to tpo it off the key switch for the alarm is bypassed. Did you follow that?
My solution I think, is to buy one of Painlesse's 18 wire universal harness and replace the whole kit and kabbutle(?). has anyone out there done this? Any suggestions? I am not in the need to restore to original since the car doesn't remotely match original. I thought it would be nice to upgrade to modern technology. Thanks everyone and I'll stay tuned.
