Why are the '90s Speedsters such unusual colors?

I don't think this has ever been asked. Why were the Speedsters painted such unusual colors?

Did Reeves base them on something else he liked?

Did he just want them to stand out?

What was the reason?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the loud colors that were chosen. I'm just curious why he chose to break out of the mold of standards like red, yellow, black, and silver that most sports cars come in.

Loud, or "unusual" colors, actually have sttod the test of time :cool


Even many of the SuperNaturals and C12's were painted with wild combos - they were wild then, but considered classic, today. I think that maybe Reeves could be said to have an eye for this :cool
