Why Don't Corvette Racing & ALMS GT Competitors Insist On Pre-Race Disclosures of Waivers From ACO?

It looks like there continues to be a lot of "adjustments" to car weight, restrictors, etc., etc. in advance of Sebring 2012. Why not require the ACO to publically disclose those mods, additional weight, wing parameters, etc. for each competitor in GT.

I'd like to see what the ACO is now doing in the back room. Kind of like the Wizard of Oz! Let's see them get out from behind the curtain and talk about how they magically level the ALMS GT playing field.

Is whatever the ACO is or is not doing becoming a problem for the individual racing teams?

Doug Fehan and Dan Binks spoke at the Corvette Museum a few weeks back and had some interesting comments about the ACO. You can watch and listen to their talk, which was really informative and funny, on the web. There is a link to the video on the Corvette Blogger site which filmed the session. Check it out. Fehan pokes some fun at ACO and plainly says they wanted the Vettes tuned down last year so they wouldn't run away with all the victories like they did for the about 10 years before moving to the new GT class.

Corvette Racing has confounded the sanctioning body's attempts to stack the deck in favor of European brands.

What confounds ACO even more is it realizes it can only "stack the deck" so high and then the handicap(s) put on the Corvettes become too obvious...and the deficiencies of the compeition become too obvious.

Even with all the deck stacking, it didn't take the Corvette guys all that long to figure out how to win with the restricted 5.5L engine package.

Doesn't matter whether it's the 'ring with a bone stock ZR1 or Z06 or the most famous endurance road race courses in the world with "somewhat production-derived" racecars, Corvette rules.
