As I mentioned in the general forum I am a brand new vette owner and dont know much about the chevy platform in general so I have been doing a lot of reading lately.
One thing that keeps coming up about the 454BB in my new 72 is that hood clearance is at a premium. It seems that the only choices to maintain the stock hood is the edelbrock torker which everyone always says is not a good street intake do to the single plane design. Then the next option brought up is the L36 intake off of a 68-69 427. I see that it is aluminum but other than that what makes the L36 better than the LS5. I am guessing that it flows more but is it enough to make a difference?
Any advice or direction would be most appreciated.
thanks
