I was wondering if I can run 18 x 8 torq thrust II's on a stock 69 ? What would the proper offset be? I know 17's will work but what about the 18's

Thanks
Mike

No reply in awhile....I am wondering the same thing on '75

From what I can gather, they SHOULD fit BETTER than the 17", given the same final diameter, plus or minus - more room to clear calipers and such and more room to reposition the p-brake cable mounts effectively. Personally, I'd like my tires to have a diameter of near 27" instead of the 25.5"ish I now have.

I am now debating the TTII's, the SLP Hyperblacks and several of the CenterLine....line.... All seem to go in the $600-1000 range. I cannot decide between the 17's and 18's and 8" or 9-9.5". One poster on many of these threads here and on CF said you could get them that wide with the right b/s.

At the end of my sick project, I want to have 10" meat on front and 12-14" meat in back and I'd like whatever I get for now to be decent enough to only need two more for the rear, once I had the monster offset t/a's and flares.

Of course this is somewhat on hold until I get whatever is wrong with this POS engine found and fixed....

PS - Just remembered - I got an email back from SLP on their Hyperblacks and asked them about 18x8" They said they THOUGHT they would, but were not sure and that those were custom orders. I really like the Centerlines having some big specials, being all forged and not charging anything different for setting whatever offset you wanted. That they were all US made was also a plus, but moreso I liked the various styles they offer.

I can't decide on which one and am not in a rush.

Yes 18" wheels will fit. It's not the size of the wheel itself as much as it is the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combination along with backspacing. I'm about to install C5 17" wheels using 2.5" adapters. I prefer the look of a 17" wheel because I like to see some sidewall on the tire which helps retain some of the classic look.
