As some of you may recall...I replaced all my weather striping. But when the windows are all the way up, theres still a slight gap and the (top edge) of the window and it isnt making a very good seal with the top T-Top rubber.
Any way to adjust/raise the window more?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks Bob...I printer out the pages...but will this apply to my 81?
Thanks again.

I'll look into it a bit more...I've never needed to pull off a door panel...untill now.

I put new weatherstriping in my 80 last yr and did all the adjusting I could but its still off alittle.Normally its sunny anyways and the windows are down but figured that I might need to and will put in new door hinge pins and bushings and that should tighten it up some then will readjust as needed.

Havent had the time to try an adjustment...but I will give it a shot. Oddly enough just the drivers side needs attention.

Weatherstrips

Thanks for the info. this might help me. Problem sounds all to much like mine. Now the trick is to have someone do it right. Not like the first person who worked on my car before I had no problem with the strips.:w

Hammerdown, I replaced the rubber in my 81 a few months back and also printed out the adjustment info. With all the adjustments I could make, my windows still have a slight gap and tend to push outward at the top. I can't remember the thread, but another member had the same problem and went with another type of "Soft Rubber" and he said that it went on perfect and adjusted the windows out with no problem. The new rubber that I have is very stiff and that might be your problem if you can't get it to adjust correctly. I'm gonna have a friend who is in Atlanta take a look at my car in a few weeks and get his thoughts on the rubber.

Hope this helps.

Wiley, thanks for the suggestions, the grade of rubber's I used was recomended to me by a friend who owns a
corvette repair shop for some 25+ years...he's tryed all the other Rubbers and turned me on to what I have now.
The rubbers are very soft as compaired to other's and in no way pushing my glass out. The glass is fitting into the grouves at the A-Pillar and the T-Top...however on the drivers side (only) the glass is about a 1/16 to 1/8 low, the passanger side is nothing less than perfect. I'm sure an adjustment by lifting the glass a (fat) 1/16'th or so...will cure my slight wind issue.
Thanks again for your comment.

Window Guide

You may have already tried this or had it installed when you had the rubber installed, but I didn't. The window guides on mine were rusted off, so I didn't even know they existed. I had the rubber replaced, and I was left with a gap as well. My reason was because I didn't have the window guides to guide the window into the track. Once I installed the guides, the windows fit as they should.

Just a thought.

Jon

Yep, window guides are fine...I just need to raise the drivers window about 1/8"...that should do it.
