I have 1969 coupe and need to adjust the manual windows to get a better seal on the weatherstipping. Anybody have any suggestions?

Find someone old enough to know how to work on them, but young enough to still remember how! Or, open door, crank up window, close door...Works everytime!

I messed with those windows forever.

I can relate, Koop. I need new pillar post seals, and all I ever see is kits with 9 pieces, the 4 little ones I need and 5 big ones I don't. Anyone know of any place you can buy them individually?

I don't think the windows have changed much from 1969 to 1982. The adjustment is simple provided all the parts are in good working order. Take the door skin off. There are several adjustment points. Start with the stops at the top of the two tracks. Moving the stops up allows for the window to roll up higher. The best way to do it is to close the door, loosen the stops. Wind the window up until its snug to the rubber, move the stops up and tighten them.

For back and forth adjustment. The tracks are attached to the top of the doors. These adjstment points are for moving the window back and forth plus in and out.

The AIM has a very detailed procedure.
