I'm a new kid on the block but have owned Vettes for 26 of the last 28 years. My current question is about the window regulator on my 98 Pace Car. It stuck in the UP position. I did all the trouble shooting from the manual, replaced the regulator with a used one, worked for a while and quit again. All I have to do is spin the motor and it begins working again for a while. I think it is just getting stuck when it reaches the top but I cannot determine what shuts off the motor when it reaches the top (or bottom for that matter). Any thoughts? I hateto get a new regulator and have the same problem. Thanks...

Hi there,
I do not believe that it is the regulator in this case.
I would be more leaning toward the left door control module.
The internal relay for the module may not be completing the circuit.
I would suggest this course of action first, before attempting the regulator again.

That was my initial thought BUT (there's always a BUT) I can place my voltmeter on the plug (disconnected from the motor), press the UP and it reads 12v, press the DOWN and it will read
-12v. That leads me to believe the relay is working fine. Do you know what stops the motor when the window reaches the upper or lower limit. Thanks for replying.........
