Replaced the drivers side today, it was making a racket up and down...
Here's what the old one looks like:
Note the two light blue guides, see the one with the "crown" broken off? The racket was the cable
squirming around while operating, I guess the regulator could have gone on for a while w/o changing.
You know how air tight the cab is, you have to close the door with some force unless the window is cracked or the trunk lid is open. I think the piece broke, perhaps, from closing the drivers door with force....
I noted the passenger side regulator was a bit slower than stock, installed by Dealer under warranty, I noticed the same with this one. The replacements may not be as fast as the originals. The new one was an AC Delco bought from Amazon, assembled in Mexico.
