Has anyone removed and cleaned the dual switch for the windows from the drivers door? I have narrowed my window problem
to the drivers side switch. The other day, I shot some contact cleaner to the switch without removing it. It worked fine for a
couple of days . Any Clues? Thanks,David

Hey David,

Mine is a 93, I don't know how much difference there is. Mine came completely apart and was able to clean it up and it works fine. Do yourself a favor and just examine it well. I used a glass to make sure it could be disassembled. I've done this a few years ago now so I can't remember the details. The contacts inside I do remember are quite robust and just needed some cleaning. I guess water introduced itself a few times from a partially left open window and over the years causes some corrosion. From what I can remember there are some balls and springs inside so be careful taking it apart.

Thanks for the info. I found a source for the window switch. I ordered a new one(before I tear into the old one)
I'll take the old one and clean it up for a spare

I don't know what's going on. I sprayed contact cleaner in old switch. It worked a couple of days. Ordered new switch.
put in new switch. Same problem, Drivers side worked, but no passenger side. I know the motor and switch are good
on passenger side because they worked after the contact cleaner. What gives?

I would guess the next best place to look is where the wires go through the door or the connections at the motor. I believe there is a video on youtube showing how to take off the door panel if you have too.
