I replaced my windshield wipers today and noticed that the drivers side goes way past where I think it should stop. When I stopped the blades to change them (turned off ignition while fully swept) the drivers blade stuck out about an inch off the windshield. Passenger side was fine. I did a search and only found a reference to some sort of adjustment that can be made on the linkage. I thought I'd also seen something previously about bending the arms. Would appreciate any advice on the best way to fix them. With my luck I usually putz something like this up and and get them totally out of adjustment.

Since I've never had it in the rain I don't know why I bother but I may be doing some road trips with the local Vette club this summer and I want to be prepared.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks for the help. I went back and did another search and found the adjustment procedures buried in part of another thread. Adjusted them yesterday and they work fine now.

How did you adjust them...I have an 86 that does the same thing yours did...

Under the windshield you need to take off the screen that covers the intake plenum for fresh air. 4 Torx screws on mine and screen is wedged under the windshield. Had a little trouble prying the screen off so don't break it. Once that's off you'll see the rod coming off the motor and the two arms held to this rod. On each arm there are two nuts (I believe they were 10MM). I loosened the nuts and then move the arm a little and retightened. Took a few trial and errors to get both of them corrected. You don't need to move them much. Only took about 10-15 minutes total to correct. I believe the drivers is suppose to come within an inch of the edge of the windshield and the passengers is suppose to come within 1 1/2 inches. I tried to find the message I got this from but couldn't find it when I did a search again today.

Hope this helps.

That's great....thanks

I would get to that as soom as I replace the axles with new u joints and a new rear spring.....love that Corvette
