How is everyone?

Its nice to pop on over here and see that the place doesn't die down just cause us cold climate folks have to put our cars away.

I have been buying and getting somethings for the car - I am in the process of getting some headers (yes ceramic coated) and throttle bodies (bored out) and some emblems. I don't know when the car will get painted but me thinks its not going to be for a few months. Bummer!
I was thinking that I wouldn't have much to do with the car once it was put away and now its like having a baby, I just see stuff that I want to buy and can't stop! When its nice and I am driving it I don't feel this need to spend so much, maybe thats cause I have to fill the tank!
My bf is restoring a 68 Firebird from the ground up and compared to what he is spending I am a rookie! I also know that my 82 isn't likely to win a race against his car! But I do hope that the purchases give me a bit more oomph and that I can get rid of the exhaust odor.
My cat is at my bf's house and she sure enjoys climbing up on the vette and making her little footprints be known :eyerole
I wish I had brought the car cover over sooner, I can't exactly wash it now. Darn her! But I did get some stuff to polish up the wheels and they look much better.

Hi Lori,

Nice to "see" you again! Yes, winter is the time we all seem to buy those special items for the Vette or work on a project for it or whatever. I don't have any of those projects or things to buy for the Grand Sport this year, but Alan picked up some chrome rotor covers so he'll be putting them on soon. His '02 will also be going to the body shop later in the winter or very early spring to get a buffing to get it ready for Show Season 2006! Till then, we just dream of what we're going to do and where we're going to go once the warm weather gets here!:)

Lori...Greetings....Have u purchased your new side emblems yet??? If not, let me know....I have custom side emblems that are available..I was looking to replace my Cross Flags with something a bit "more shark like"..since these are the shark years....If your interested to see what I have, shoot me an eamil to c3sharkattack@yahoo.com

I'm the same way, I replaced my interior, new seat, carpet, door panels and I did the job...very satisfying..took 45 hours or more. Good Friend "Barry" and my son Alex helped out considerably..

hey Andy...I don't have side emblems, I am one of the lucky few ;-) with the words crossfire instead of emblems. Those actually are in pretty good shape and easy to work on.
Today my bf removed the back window trim and I worked for many hours sanding it down to be repainted.
