Wiper Adjustment 1969

Trying to keep my wiper blades from crashing.

I made adjustments so that they work well, BUT now the passenger wiper won't go far enough down to allow the wiper door to close.

First Question: (especially to the chrome bumper owners)

Which wiper should go first into the door? That will help me decide if I'm adjusting the right way. Right now the driver side parks first.

Can I adjust the driver side to advance farther using another adjustment rather than the at the two nut adj. point?

FIXED:

Seems a wet windshield is important per a GM technical paper.
Works good now.
All I have to do is turn the wipers OFF before it quits raining.
Actually, I hope I never get caught out in the rain again..............
