wiper and air conditioning madness

I have a 1986 that has two electrical problems.
I have wipers that won't turn off when activated.
They stay at one speed. the only way to stop them
is to shut the ignition switch off.
My A/C and heater don't seem to work. The fans (not working)
and the temp doesn't seem to have an effect. All fuses
that I can find seem to be good. Any help or theories
would be great. This all seemed to happen during storage.
It all used to work then poof!!!

My suggestion would be for the AC...disconnect the fan and run 12 volts directly to it...see if the motor is good. The wipers...my book says it "should" be the switch.

I'm not exactly sure about the wipers, but the switch is a weak link in these, but you should also check the relays which are activated in the interemittent mode.

On the A/C side, I'd first check to see if your fan motor is working, then go in and check the switch. Most of the time the contacts get corroded and just don't pass the entire amount of juice through to the fan. But then there are at least forty things which could go wrong with the climate control system. Just take your time and follow it step by step as indicated in the repair manual.

What did you find on the fan issue. I have an 86 with the Electronic Climate Control and am having the same issue. I however have no voltage/intermittant voltage at the fan?

I had a break in the wire. I fixed that and chared the system
and it all works now. I've just have to fix the wipers now. Good luck with finding the problem. I hate electrical things.
