wiper door actuator saftey sw

should the VENT part of this sw have vac preasent at all times? or should the vac stop when plunger is pushed in? 72 vette mine has vac at all times. stops a little when pushed in but not all the way thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!

Vacuum opens and closes the wiper door.

Wiper operation is completely electric after the door opens and the plunger trips the switch.

There should not be vacuum there all the time. If so, you would have a major vacuum leak. May need to replace the valve.
