I just got my 76 on the road (I rebuilt the engine, trans, interior, suspension, brakes) All the car has was the 2 wiper arms no blades. I bought w wiper blades 16" according to the book at the auto parts store.
I went to install them but with the wipers parked they will cross over each other like an "X" It looks like one should lead the other into the parked position but even with that the blades still look like they will cross.
Does anyone have any pictures of how this should look. Maybe an linkage adjustment is necessary but I would like to see what I am aiming for.
Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

There is an adjustment on the transmission right where the shaft comes out of the motor.

Play with that first. It sounds like you are parking too deep causing them to overlap.

After playing with that, if all else fails, you can put a little bit of a bow in one of the transmission arms to cause it to rest higher than the other one.

There is/are adjustments in the interconnecting linkage. Get hold of a 69 shop manual. It will tell you the procedure. If you look at your linkage that interconnects the two wiper arms, you'll see the adjustment points. You could "mess around" with them, and through trial and error, find a happy medium. :) Chuck
