Fuel Tank

Looks to be a 1965 and maybe one of the first 396CI, so I would love to be filling that tank, especially if it were mine!!

Could have something far worse than that, to dump 36 gallons in :D

That's why my wife replaced her Tahoe with a Pontiac Vibe. Vibe goes as far on 13 gallons as the Tahoe did on 30. :eek Plus it's a lot more fun. I'd like to have that big tank in my work car so I could buy gas when it is down. I could get almost 3 weeks out of 36 gallons.

The car in the pic has '66 wheel covers and no vents on the roof pillar. It's a 66. Corvette Classics Museum in Fort Wayne IN has a few big tank cars on display. Very interesting cars.

I goofed!

Good catch Tom! I looked quick last night (not too good for a person restoring a 65) and thought the caps were for a 65. Kind of ironic that a 66 has five slot hubcaps and the 65 has six slots. I still wouldn't mind putting $80.00 worth of fuel in this Vette and taking it for a test run! After the restoration of my 1961, I would like to restore a big block next.
