To several of you who have asked I can say with certainty now that I won't be going to Carlisle. For one thing the car is not done and I didn't want to throw it together in a hurry to make the deadline. The other and much more important reason is that I just found out that one of my brothers, who I haven't seen for many years, happens to be flying into the local airport this weekend. I was intending to drive my Trailblazer to the show but I just can't pass up the chance to spend some time with my sibling. I hope you all have a great time and a safe journey to and from.
Best Regards,
Gary

Family is by far more important....have a good time with your brother. I am sure you will read all about it here, besides, you really want to go when your car is finished....Carlisle will be there next year...but still we will miss you.

I'd hate to see you miss Carlisle just because the car isn't done, but your brother coming in is another story - like collin said, family is more important. Enjoy visiting with your brother and Carlisle will be there again next year PLUS you will be able to show off your perfect car :)

I'll have plenty of pics and probably a video or two posted on my website as soon as we return so you can see this years Carlisle that way at least.

there will be many more Carlisles....family is far more important...my sister passed away a year ago January....and I am very grateful for all the time I ever spent with her before...cherish your family........

Gary I am sorry we wont meet at Carlilse this year. As for throwing the car together for the trip you made a good choice. (Mine is thrown together I probably need another 40 hours just to get my gaps correct) but needless to say I am here.

Have fun with your brother and who knows maybee he would like to spend some quaility time with you driving to and from calilse,

Speak to you soon Larry

I am very excited for you all. I'm sure it will be a great time. I can hardly wait for the stories and photos and videos. Don't be shy about posting, as all of us that couldn't make it look forward to your chronicles when you return. Best of luck in the judging and exhibiting of your beautiful automobiles. Larry, with your experience I'm sure you can throw together a nice car and come back and tweek it later on. At the pace I work though once is enough. :)

Have a safe return trip home all.

PS: My brother is looking forward to seeimg the 61 and apprciates the effort as he is an aviation mechanic.
