1969 LeMans Blue Coupe
Hey, I'm new to this site and hopeful someone can give me some advice. I have a 1969 Corvette with a 427/390. About 2 weeks ago, it started occassionally missing at start up. Once it warmed up it was fine, except that if I really got on it, I had a hard time keeping it running. It just wanted to die out. So I replaced the spark plugs, started it up and it idled just fine. I took it out and really got on it. It then just wanted to die. I barely got it home. I've tried numerous times to start it again, but it just won't start. I replaced the coil and plug wires, but it just won't even catch. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Thanks for your help.

A. Sounds like she may have jumped timing.

B. Have you checked to ensure the points have not closed?

C. Silly Question Of The Day: is there fuel in the tank?

Yeah, I have fuel in the tank (it bubbles out of the carb after I've pumped the pedal trying to start it). I thought the problem must have something to do with the timing, which is beyond my expertise. Looks like it may be time to call the mechanic. Thanks for your response.
