Bill,

I've never heard of US Corvettes. However, I see that you live in MA. Why don't you get in touch with me. We sell Corvettes in Plymouth, MA and can find you anything you want! :)

IF you want a stick and otherwise like your car why not install a 5 spd? You'll probably have to swap out the rear gears as well, you should have 308's in there now. It would cost about $4,500 or so unless you can do some of the work but if your car is in good shape it would be worth it compared to buying one that you don't know the history of.

THANKS Ralph for great tip clicked on website its awesome. They have garage in steriling Ma about 35 miles from me.Like Gary was saying at least i know what i have.I went to local transmission shop owner said easier to buy new car.anyway thank you all. Will post when i get quotes.

I would bet many shops are not aware of these kits. A friend of mine owns the shop that does my transmission work. He's done the auto to manual transmission conversion before using the Kiesler kit... in his words, "it's a piece of cake..."

Be sure to match the rear gears as well. I don't have the chart handy but 308 may be a bit doggy off the line. Most of the custom diff's I build for OD atr 373 ratios and offer nice cruising RPM around 2300-2400 while having nice acceleration in 1st & 2nd.
If you can justify the cost then it will change the feel of the car for sure.
I drive my vettes very little these days so I kept the TH400 and Munices in them.

I have no personal experience but there is a lot of discussion about them on different forums... I would advice you to do some reading first.
