This stack has to be at least 4 " thick..!!! I haven't added all the receipts from the 502 Conversion yet...Maybe I'll wait till the end of the year....

How Big Is your Stack after work on your Midyear for this year??

Are you looking for trouble? Hide that stuff before the SO see's what you have been up to. ;) She'll demand you take her to the mall to shop for shoes...then you'll be sorry. :L ...you'll be sitting out on the Group W bench with the other husbands holding her purse. ;LOL

Yeah....I forgot..You have to Pay all those Import Taxes to Keep Mac On the Job....:L

Mark that pile is way too messy, that would just make me crazy :crazy ,I actually flatten out my invoices and packing slips with a heavey books then three hole punch them and place them in a book acourding to where they were used on the car, Motor, drive train, interiour, body etc etc.

I never total them up as that would keep me from doing another car.

after stairing at your motor at carlilse I can guess what that pile of papers cost you.

then engine bay looked great. You did a very clean neat and orderly installation. I could see the amount of hours you had invested in it,

GREAT JOB

I like all of you keep every invoice for every item that I purchase for m cars. I finished my 1957 last year. The folder was fat like Elvis in the 70's. It oozed cash. I was afraid too look at some of the numbers.

When I sold the car I offered the new owner all the info I had on the car plus the Fat Elvis stack of reciepts and he did not want it. NO interest at all. I was completely dumbfounded.

WHAT THE F'&K!!???

I could not understand why. The car has been gone over 6 months now and I still do not have the heart to dump the file. It sits on my table.

Some buyers are friggin crazy.

When I purchased my 66 in august of 2000, the fellow who sold it to me had a ton of original extra parts with the car.At the time to me it was a pile of junk and worthless.

The fellow insisted I take it and said I would thank him later for it.Well I thank him all the time for insisting I take them .

I was just unknowledgeable in corvettes at the time.

I just recently learned a new term "flipper" thats a dealer that buys a car they feel is under the money and then re sells it right away.Maybee the person you sold your car to was a flipper and he figured he would have no use for the recipts

I am almost certain that he was a flipper. However, I feel that it would be easier to flip a car with docs.

Especially if you want the big bucks.

maybe I should stop now before I get to the 1 inch height........nah.....SO says that I need to get the car done in case something happens to me....she doesn't want a car that won't start nor drive....so who am I to argue??????

Thanks For the kind words...:beer

The pile will eventually be put together as mentioned above.. But for now... I'll leave it in it's messy state. It'll be a fun winter project...

Mark I can't bring myself to take a picture of my stack.... I opened the file cabinet and looked at the folders though and I have to say I'm close to 4"......Zip, LIC, Carquest, Summit and Fastnal all have there own folders.... Unfortunately they are not the only Corvette related folders... I'm scared to even break out the calculator...

Good news is I just got myself a muligan today.. Bought the wifey a Grand Cherokee today (they are given some deals).. We all know what that means.. I can buy Corvette parts all winter long and I have the Jeep to bank against... Who I don't learn from you guys.....:L :L

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Receipts are like septic pumps. They serve a purpose and we don't want to be without one but they're not the sort of thing one wants to pull out and look at much. ;)
