WTB 00/01 coupe

Hi

I am in the market for an auto that is 100% stock and in mint condition with less then 35,000 miles.

I prefer Millenium Yellow or Torch Red.

I will be pulling a carfax and having it checked out by a bodyman and mechanic so lets not waste our time and my money.

I live in the northeast (New Jersey) and will travel for the right vette.

The value will be determined by condition, miles and options.

I am not looking to steal it but l am not looking to overpay either. This will be a cash deal or certified check.

Now if the vette is right l will not let the color sway me.

I cannot believe that l cannot find a private C5 for sale in the condition that l am looking for.

Even though there are so many out there for sale on every site under the sun. The problem is that 99% of them are dealers and the rest are looking for the kind of money that they will never see.

If they were realistic l would be driving one of them this week.

When l see ads for unrealistic prices l don't even pause, l just go to the next ad.

If somebody is realistic then we would have a starting point but to over price it with the hopes of coming down a couple of thousand is only fooling themselves.

Kingman: Did you see the posting about 5 down from yours-- WTB 98-2000?? there's a gentleman in Bayonne with a pristine 2000 Pewter coupe . . I think the posting was by DOM . . .check it out, sounds like a well maintained car and close to you.

I have been looking everywhere but l cannot find anything remotely like l want.

Tuesday l am even going to be bidding on a Millenium Yellow coupe blind because if l wait any longer l will wind up with another Torch red coupe.

But l am closing in on one now that is auto, Torch Red, and very low miles but l will have to find somebody to look at it.

It cracked me up and l hoped to have found a Millenium yellow vette but to find one coupe, auto, stock, low mileage, minto was like finding a needle in a haystack.

Still love the yellow but l will have to settle for a Torch Red one even though it's my second Torch Red one in a row,
