Hey:
I have a '75 coupe, looking for anyone selling C3 seats, doesnt have to be '75 style, preferably, the 78(pace),79-82 'clam' style....

-new old vette :) , trying to make it great.

I just bought a 79 L48 car to part out. It was hit very hard on the right side and heavily damaged. The right door was crushed into the seat. Let me pull them out and get a good look at them to see what the condition is. Will try to do it on 8/1/04. Will get back to you as soon as I can. - Bob

Gary - Just sent Kevin a message about the seats. I will let you know when I hear back from him. - Bob

Gary - I got the seats out and the left side bottom pan is broken. The right side bottom pan has several cracks in it. It will take some fiberglass work to repair these and then a recover job. You can probably find some in better shape but if you are still interested I can email you some pics. - Bob

Bob, I can do the repair work if it is not to bad. It would come down to the cost of getting the seat; then how much work to fix that will be the main things. I have like new seats in the car now, but I want to change over the the newer style. So if you can sent some pictures and a idea of what you want for them, I'll let you know if I'm still interested or not. You can contact me direct at:

I have a 78. The driver's seat frame is all messed up. The bolts, rather than pointing down, point forward. Sit reclines way back. Will seats from a 79 fit a 78?

Yes they do. It is a bolt up change. The 78 Pace car had the 79-82 style seat in them. It was the first year for the new style seats. I think the 78PC - 82 seat are a lot nicer to seat in and much more comfortable.

Gary

Hi Gary - Sorry for the long delay in replying. I have been swamped at work and have not had time to try to pull out the right front seat. Also I am not sure how to get it out as the floor pans are bent up under the seat and I can't get wrenches on the bolts. Will try to get something done and get back to you this week. - Bob
