XP-856 Aero Coupe

This picture is from a Corvette a day calendar I got for Christmas. A couple of weeks ago (on Friday July 13th) this picture popped up:

I'd never seen it before, so I did a couple searches on the Internet and found nothing, which I thought was odd. I also have a couple of Corvette books that make no mention of it. Does anyone know anything regarding the background of this particular car? Thanks

I don't recall ever reading about the XP-856 Aero Coupe and I sure don't remember seeing a photo of it

Never heard of it, never saw it; although the photo was definitely taken on the Styling outdoor patio turntable (I was out there many times), it must have been relegated to the scrapper before being shown to the public. Rear quarters look like a '66 Toronado, and the front end looks like a catfish with buck teeth. :eyerole

Interesting I can't find a single reference to that model anywhere on the internet, and yet there is what looks like a legit picture and title. hmmmm???
