After nine months, I am still in the race to acquire a C4. Have you ever seen or used these kind of shocks? Also the owner said he has painted the valve covers with a corvette paint (can) but they do not look good to me. Do you guys paint the valve covers? Or you do when they are really ugly? She is a 1987 C4 with 69K miles in the box.

If it was mine I would remove the valve covers & sandblast them then repaint.

Just another "Welcome nto the forum" post.
As for the shocks - if they're working OK, let them be.
If not, what's wrong with them?
My 89 has 70,000 miles with original shocks and brake hardware and it all works just fine.
My advice ..... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
:)

That's a dirty engine bay. A little degreaser, some steam washing, and she'll be as good as new. I wouldn't care too much about the condition of the valve covers...it can easily be repainted.

The shocks look like Sears or Midas generic brand. Easy enough to upgrade if you would like. Mine has the FX3 shocks and they are not so simple and inexpensive to replace.

Thank you for your time to answer.
I talked to the seller and they are from MIDAS.
