I saw a great looking graphic on a C5 at an auto show. I have found the same graphic at a local store. The big BUT, is; I don't know if I am brave enough to do this to my car. I love my '99 light pewter metallic Corvette, however it almost seems to be a blank canvas with a need for a little something to make it not blend in with the other cars. The graphic is rather subtle compaired to the total body kits on some of the import cars. I would like to personlize it to be what I like but as we all know, sometimes what seems like a good idea later becomes"what was I thinking!". I would like to hear some input from other Corvette owners. Thanks

Like yourself, I too am attracted to some of the neat stuff I see on other cars, but I like to keep it simple when it comes to my own. I added some stripes that fade in on the hood, and I had a guy hand paint the Z-51 emblem on my hood sides.

Ken thanks so much for your input. You have a great looking car! Yours is what I am talking about; not overboard but highlights the beauty of the car and at the same time separates it from other '87s. I really like the hood stripes. That guy did a good job. Thanks for help and your pictures.

jmooney,

You asked for opinions on graphics...as you can see, we had vinyl graphics (of our design) put on our '02 last summer and think it's terrific! Of course, the car is literally red/white/blue so the American flag theme seems so natural. We love it...but understand if others don't. Ya gotta do what makes you happy!!
Nice thing about graphics is that they can be removed.

Go for it!

Thanks Elaine! I think you are right. A person has to do what looks good to them. After all, a lot of people "just don't get it" when it comes to Corvette ownership. Some ask me, "are you going through a mid-life crisis"? I guess customizing your car is the same way-some people just don't get it! By the way, those are some beautiful cars you have- I bet your proud! Thanks again for your input. Jack
