What's the difference?

The Z16 is the commemorative edition Z06 for 2004. The biggest difference is the Carbon Fiber hood and, of course, the custom paint.

Besides the red-accented, white-stripe-over-LeMans-Blue paint and the CF hood, Z16s have polished wheels, the memory package, dual-zone air and electrochromatic mirrors.

On a personal note: so far, ole "Balls 39", my Z06/Z16, has crossed the 10,000 mile mark and is a thoroughly enjoyable car, whether I'm on a take-no-prisoners run up some twisty mounting road, or on a long, highway trip.

Basically...the car totally rocks!!

I think memory package, dual-zone air, and electrochromatic mirrors were options on the z06's. Certainly on the 02's, anyway.

That's correct, they were options on all Z06es but *standard* on the Z16 version, ie: if you ordered Z16 you got those items whether you wanted them or not.

They are mirrors that automatically dim reflected headlights at night without affecting daylight viewing. They are electrical and can be turned off and on. I leave mine on all the time.
