I find that difficult to believe. The Enzo takes something like 3 seconds, while Trepanier's QuadraDuece does it in 2.6 seconds, and that's all-wheel drive, so he's got plenty of traction.

A 2-second Corvette? Hmmm...

Rain, Ken,

Did you guys read all the stats on this car? It's freakin out there. Just what you always wanted - a vette specifically designed for $25,000 match races. Street legal and runs 180 in the quarter. Sounds perfect for cruise night down at the local Papa-Gino's.

Remo:cool

Yes, the stats and physical parts are MONSTER.. But theres just no way he's getting instant traction.
That light weight of a vette, rear wheel drive, and every bit of the weight is up front.

I'll bet the rear tires have to be super sticky to get off the line.

But once it does, I bet its like a FREAKIN ROCKET! hahahahaha

Any mention of fuel economy? LOL

Just wanted to share my insomnia ebay searches with you guys -

Wow!!!, but outa my league

While this is a niffty little toy, I must think more practicle!
I am looking for an 87 with a Z51 or Z52. I have a bead on one at a sorta local dealer and they are asking what appears to be to much...what is the source of all vette pricing? This car has 87K, 2nd owner, Z52, cluster troubles and a leak on the passenger side. He is asking 7500 and I think it is worth ~5K to 5.5K. Help!

If the sellers specs are true, I don't doubt that 0-60 claim. 1500hp, 2500lbs, 4-link, 4:86 gears and slicks should put this car into the 7's on a clean run. I for one would love to see this thing make a pass.

$220,000!?!?!

Uhhh....

I would have bought a house for that much instead.

Let's see..5,500 stall converter, .700 lift cam, 115-118 octane at $7.50 a gal. and it's "streetable"? Theres no streets around me like that lol....i agree for 220 grand it better have an address :L

;LOL Street Legal?! On what planet? You can't convince me that a car like that is running cats. There's not a state in the union that it would be legal in without them (Federal Law). On top of that, all of the other emissions stuff has got to be gone, and many states have a hp limit. I'm not saying that the car isn't impressive, just that some of his claims are a little out there...especially 1500 streetable legal hp!

0-60 in 2 sec

There are a couple guys out there who build these type of cars. One is John Lingenfelter (rest his soul). Go to this url and click on pictures then scroll down the bottom and look at statistics. Incredible car running high 8's in 1/4 mile and still gets 15mpg in city (24hwy). Mallet makes some fast vettes too.

Have Fun!

Ive seen the lingenfelter pass smog. Smog is test at rpm not idle. Most of these high horsepower cars wont pass smog at idle but since the testing procedure doesn't test at idle, then they are ok. Some other builders would change out the injectors, adjust fuel pressure and other minor tweaks to pass smog.

My friend has a drag car 2000 corvette body that last weekend ran a sub 5 second 1/8 mile, his 60' time was 1.07 at 83 mph.

That comes out to 0-83 in 1.07.

It runs 6.98 1/4 mile with a donovan 700+ inch engine with 2 stages of nitrous.

The guys claim is possible but it's amazing he could get that with a small block and no bottle.

A 700-inch small block?? How on earth did he do that? I thought 454-inches was the biggest you can go with a small block. :confused

He wasn't saying that his friend's 700 inch monster was a small block, just that the car up for auction was.
