Zinc Plated

Zinc Plated Rotors

I'm looking at a set of rotors for my C5 and they are "zinc plated". :confused Never having purchaced rotors that had been plated, I am wondering if there is a down side to having zinc plated to the rotor. Is there a danger of the plating chipping? Anyone with knowledge in this area I could use some insite.

Zinc plating is a corrosion protection measure. There is no impact on the performance of the rotor.
