New intake for crossfire = more HP!!!!

I guess if the low end torque is not enough with the stock gears, I will have to see what others are running and see if 3.54 or 3.73 will be the best for a basically stock crossfire.

When I speak of losing a little bit of low end torque, I'm talking about 10-12 ft/lbs at the extreme bottom end. Hardly enough to notice. In fact, I'll be willing to bet you WOULDN'T notice it.

I'll take that bet...how much? Cost of a Renegade? My personal "seat of the Pantsometer" tells me since its entirely subjective on ME...I'll notice it and you'd lose:chuckle
:w

PS Dave Emmanual is also known for hating the Cross-Fire and stirring up notariety in CorvetteFever by doing so. Actually, he seems to be a very funny guy and probably a riot at a party based on his antagonistic personality.

The Renegade will certainly shine at revs above 4000 rpm,
Off course , you realise that operating above 4K would benefit from a new cam as the stock wimpy cam ( even with 1.6's ) is optimized for the stock low reving setup

I realize that. But my engine IS cammed so I will certainly benefit from the better breathing the Renegade will offer.

Ya, damn rights he has a serious cam in his crossfire.

What would be your best 1/4 mile guess with a renegade on a stock crossfire engine? If the 84 crossfire has a baseline of 15.3 in the 1/4 mile? 14.6 maybe?;shrug

I'm sure the Renegade will do better but I'd rather not guess at it's 1/4 mile performance. We'll know soon enough after we get ours.

I am just going to G-tech it. A little before and after and a few comments on how it feels. I would think once you are going about 40 mph and hit it, it should pull pretty good.

I would sure like to here what is going on. I bet our next update will be the friday after Easter.

Updates often come on weekends when DCS is closed down.

Should we ask DCS for a deadline? They always do that on the car builds on TV such as overhaulin, hotrod tv, etc...

Is there any other renegade stuff that anybody wants to discuss?

Xmas present maybe?

Since we picked up more today from the foundry, our goal is to have a couple shipped out next week. We are going to make a max effort to make that happen. As long as the machinist gets off his backside and gets them done, we are golden. Other than that, we have to wait like everyone else. I don't know what else I can possibly say. :upthumbs They're coming...hangon.

I guess I don't understand what's going on. Are you planning to cast and ship just a couple of manifolds at a time? Why are you only casting a few instead of a whole bunch?

Like we've said "many" times before, we can not control any of the vendors we have to deal with, we are at their mercy. The foundry bought out several other foundry's and are now swamped.

They are pouring for us as they can schedule us in. We have NO control of the number being poured vs the number we request and they are only poured one at a time and then have to set the mould up again for the next pour. For them, its a slow process.

We are going as fast as "we" can, but unfortunately others are much slower.;shrug It seems no matter what we do, we can not satisfy anyone. First it's when are they coming? Now that we are starting to get them out... it's why not more? We can't win.:ugh We will try and do our best as we've been doing, sorry it takes so long.

I sure didn't mean to get you upset Buccaneer. You are well aware of what's going on with the casting and machining but the rest of us aren't. I assumed the foundry would make maybe 50 pours in a day, and then the 50 manifolds would be delivered to the machine shop. I had no idea they were being poured one-at-a-time and then the molds had to be set up again for the next single pour.
