The inside panel on the passenger door of my 2008 convertible does not fit correctly against the instrument panel. The dealer said I might have to live with it. The panel 'stands proud' of the dash where the door and dash meet. I am taking it back for another look next week, but was curious if someone had suggestions as to the cause and solution for this. I have looked at many C6 Corvettes and have not come across one with as large a misfit as mine. I know there are male and female pins that hold the panel in place. I am guessing these may have slipped or become worn and are causing this. Any help is appreciated!!! :)

Hi there,

The panel should be removed and checked for warpage.

Accept it?? I DONT THINK SO!

Fit has been exceptional on interior components.

Allthebest, c4c5

That's what I thought. This is the first thread I've seen about something not fitting correctly....bet somethin' is broke....

He's talking about one of the guys on this site who has allot of knowledge with Vettes.

Could you sort of translate that, please?
There is an ol' boy on the other side of the mountains that beside moonshine has a vast knowledge. He has been an icon on this site and others with a vast amount of knowledge .I drive my 08 1500 miles to have him do the service .Did a great job on my clear bra .Anyway you can locate him under community at the top of the page ,send him a PM and just skip over.BUT your dealer should do it for nothing.

Sent you a PM with his info .:thumb

How much did you pay for your clear bra???? I want/need something BAD for my Vette....the bugs in Texas are nearly as big as Texas....not to mention rock chips. I was cleaning my car last week and found SIX little rock chips.....now I need some touch up paint in a bad way....I was gonna order a new bra (for my car :)) till I found out that 3M makes something thats clear....I saw it on a thread, but not where to find it or who does it....how much should I expect to pay....that's something else I've found....stigma....if ya got a Vette, you have a pocket full of cash to blow.... :mad I hate being taken advantage of....

I'll PM you Junkies contact info .I'm really not sure because he actually took delivery of my 08 when it was new.(thats how much I trust him).He did several modifications I wanted done and they we're grouped together. It is a 3m and I love it and it's already saved some serious chips. It has not discolored at all .
