Ok... the Ole wheres the smoke comming from?

Ok so my vettes been smokin a bit only when I rev it or drive it on the driver side, next to the Fuel filter..any clues? Im stummped

You mean "oil" filter?

There are a couple things on the driver side that can leak down onto exhaust...oil press sender, oil temp sender, filter bypass, maybe even a bad valve cover gasket. Assuming that your smoke is coming from under the hood, pressure wash everything and observe all these things to see whats leaking. Power steering racks are great about shaft seal leaks that blow back onto exhaust pipes and smoke.

yea sorry oil filter lol, yea I have a long tube headers and whatever it is, is leakin on the headers and causing it to smoke. my 02 bung is under there and those are the only wires that are around it. I looked more closely and it looks like everywhere around my distributer theres black "sut" around it. hope nothing serious

if its all around behind the dist, along the baseplate back edge, that ain;t great news....thats an intake leak, common. The trouble comes from oil getting into water. you can't be sure. The fix is pulling the intake off, installing a new gasket, setting intake on and carefully bolting it down again following the torque pattern to the letter.

hmm makes sense, it only seems to smoke when I pull in or out of the driveway or when its moving its not really alot just enough to see it
