Help! "TURN OFF LIGHTS" warning chime torture.

Hi, for the last few days the "turn off lights"chime sounds whenever the lights (side or main)are on, even when driving. I have never had this problem since I got the car(89C4) 10 years back. Has anyone come across this before and if so has it driven them to the brink of insanity?

Could be something to do with the switch on the key cyl.

Hi Glenn, do you mean the ignition switch or door switch?

After thinking about it, it could be either. I suspect the wiring is close to the 90 , I may be able to find some time to look it up.

No problem. How did you get on with the Theft Module issue?

Not too bad,I am a little anxious about getting to the module(cannot remember it's name)that you said may be fried as I think it's behind the airbag.I don't know the size of the explosive charge and don't want any accidents:ugh.

I wouldn't worry about that, your '89 has no airbag!

Is that just a padded dash on passenger side? The previous owner was bull*****ing me, unless the guy he bought the car from was bull*****ing him, and that's really funny
