Has red become the boring standard for brake calipers?

Let's say you have a yellow Corvette, Now try to imagine
these calipers on it. It would look very sweet because it
it matched the body paint and best of all....it wouldn't
like everybody else.

I must be out of touch with brake caliper fashion as all mine are silver or gray.
Do those caliper covers get in the way of cooling or do they help? If they impede the cooling of the brakes, I wouldn't use them.
Those aren't calipers, they are caliper covers. Have you actually seen them on a real vehicle? No matter the color, they are not a pretty sight.![]()
True enough....I as used it only as a visual aid. Being the master tech that you are, I'm sure you've seen calipers painted in colors other than red. In fact most C5's left the factory with silver calipers.![]()

Black is good. Car looks great - do you have a lowering kit on your Vert or just the stock bolts adjusted down? I'd like to bring my car down slightly..wasn't sure if to just use the stock bolts or go with the eibach replacements. Does not need much but would like to eliminate some gap
