Another anniversary of the attack on the USA. I hate to remember that day, But I never want to forget it. I'm sure we all have our own memories of that day. Remember back to the moment before you first heard of it and how different this world would have been if all those lives were not ended by the insanity that followed. Somewhere in your daily routine today, please observe a moment of silence for all of those no longer with us.

I know exactly what you mean. Hard to believe we've already put 14 years between today and that day...

It was a very odd day for me. I was actually on board a commercial flight, en route from Pittsburgh to Kansas City, when the attacks began. For whatever reason, our flight was permitted to continue to its intended destination, so I was one of the lucky few who actually made it to where I'd wanted to go. But I didn't learn about the events in New York City and Washington, DC until I de-planed in KC; so I'd gotten onto an airplane in Pittsburgh in one world, and got off an airplane in Kansas City in another... :ugh

When I got the news, I called the office to see if those of us who were off-duty were being recalled. As I waited, I was watching the news on tv... it was so surreal, I wondered if it was special effects. :ugh
