Now that I seem to have most of the bugs worked out of my C4 I want to upgrade the exaust system. I haven't been able to get under the car yet, but I understand that the factory setup is not a true duel exaust. I would like to upgrade to a true duel exaust. Any suggestions? Thx...

You may have problems if you mess with the CAT's since you live in CA.

Your car came with 2 factory pre cats as part of the exhaust pipe.
The one piece Y exhaust pipe merge and go into a single main CAT.

The bolt on exhaust kits are mainly CAT back systems that bolt onto the back of the main catalytic converter.

Any ideas as to what I can do with the exaust that will free up some horsepower?

Appears only thing you can do is install an after market cat back system.
Any after market muffler should be free-er flowing than a stock muffler.
How much horse power gain? Only real way to find out would be on a dyno.

The Corsa cat back is the most expensive cat back and very popular on C4's.
It's stainless steel. Fit and finish is top notch and no drone.

Here's a link showing some of the kits. Note some of the kits are for the LT5 ZR1 you want a L98 kit.

The Vette is going in for a dyno tune on the 16th. The only thing I'd really like to have done before that is the exaust upgrade. The other upgrade will be done at the dyno when a chip is installed. This way I can have all I want done and tuned at the same time. I'll look into that cat back system you were talking about, and hopefully it will be legal.:thanks:
