Has anyone replaced the lumbar bladder in their sport seat(s)? I took apart the driver's side seat from my '86 yesterday but would like some confirmation that I did it right. The factory manual gives instructions for replacing the bladder and the way I interpreted them you have to remove the seat back upholstery to get to the bladder. I removed the hog rings that secure the leather seat back cover to the seat frame and pulled the lower half of the seat cover away from the seat, exposing the foam seat cushion. To my surprise, there was no bladder there. :confused The three clear plastic tubes were just stuffed into the seat back but were not connected to anything. I'm assuming that in the past someone removed the bladder but I want to make sure that it isn't hidden inside the seat foam or something. I never could figure out how to remove the hard plastic seat back shell but it doesn't seem to be necessary to do so.
Also I noticed that the inside of the leather seat cover was lined with a black rubber material but it has deterioriated and fallen apart. Any wisdom out there about what this material was for and if I should replace it with something else?
Thanks!
