I was a couple of cars behide a Red C3 think is was a 69, that crashed into the right overpass cement wall around 6:00 PM Friday evening during the Carlisle event on Route 81 Northbound just after the York Road exit....I saw two women and a men get out of the Corvette and they seemed to be OK...does anbody know the story? Especially how are the folks? Are they OK? Several people stopped immediately, so there was plenty of help, we called 911 for emergency services.... Anbody know the story...

From my view in the distance I saw the car spin out, hit the wall head on then bounce of and hit the wall again in the rear of the car, then I say two women and a man get out of the convertible....

I didn't see anything in our local news. Like gaC5 stated it probably didn't help having three adults in a C3.

I saw it some time after it happened from the other side as I was southbound on 81 headed back to Carlisle from my hotel in Harrisburg for the dinner at Rillo's; cops and a wrecker were there, and both ends of the car were torn up pretty well.

OK, now I'm REALLY bummed!

1) A C3 crashed.

2) the guy had two women with him

3) John Z was at Carlisle and I didn't get to meet him!

How funny... after reading the posts, I said the exact same thing (#3). It would have been great to meet "thee John Z"

About 100 years ago I owned a C3 '69 vert, and a buddy of mine and I double dated in my vette several times! He had a girl on each knee and I had to watch my shifting the 4-speed into 4th gear. And that's all I'm gonna say about that. lol

Then I won't mention our Friday evening dinner. ;)

67,
I managed to miss you two years in a row at Carlisle, so I can't even pick you out of the photo! Perhaps you could enlighten us on your dinner guests?

you forgot Janine (81Kixx). she is the one out of the picture between me and you. :)

Barry,

"....Mind you, there was another table of people as well.......but I just named those in this photo..."

67Heaven,

There was another table of CAC folks?... or others from Corvettes at Carlisle?

My daughter and I left the fairgrounds at around 6:00 pm and sat in the traffic (watching the temp gauge rise to 210!)... it sure would have been nice to have met up with you all before heading back down to Frederick, MD.... well, there's always next year.

Ralph :w

Barry, it was a pleasure to meet you....sorry that Linda could not of joined us that evening.

Janine
same here, it was great to meet you finally. When I got back to the hotel Linda was seriously crashed out already and probably was within 15 minutes of me leaving to go for the dinner - we had gotten up at 2am that morning to leave for Carlisle by 3am so it was a pretty long day.
Well, maybe next year she will feel better and will be able to join us. :)

BTW Janine, if we are invisted back again for next years dinner, remember not to order the lasagna again............ ;LOL

I dont kno whats worse, the impact of hitting the wall, or seeing your vintage vettes parts all over the street?
zachh

Trust me Barry, seafood all the way.

So..back to the original question...does anyone know the outcome of the accident?
