I may be Search Inept. ;help

I believe I've seen somewhere on this forum that you can program out the 1-4 shift function, but now I can't find the information.
Yes, it's fun to simply accelerate past this annoyance, :lou but I thought I'd try for a more technically advanced solution.

Buy a skip shift eliminator at just about any forum vendor for about $25-$35. Simply plugs in and you can remove it just as easy.:upthumbs

what works for me is when the "skip shift" kicks in I just push up into 3rd.
I use 1-3-5 quite often in normal driving.:w :w

.
A tuner can get rid of it, and get rid of the 1-4 light on the dash.
With the skip shift eliminator, you will still get the light.

What's a tuner charge? $100? That little light wouldnt bother me much. ;shrug

No, you only get it tuned to tune it.
Removing the 1-4 shift is just an incidental mod the tuner does, you don't go to a tuner just for that.
