I have a '69 convertible and my brother-in-law has a '71 convertible.

Where can I get factory build information on both of these cars?

My '69 doesn't have a tank sticker and the '71 tank sticker is badly deteriorated and unreadable.

unless you know who the original dealer is/was amd that delaer is still in business, you maybe able to get info that way - otherwise there is NO available database (for instance) that anyone can access such info as you seek

There is a book you can get thru the ncrs on what components were used.
the corvette technical and information manual and judging guide...
It will give you the correct part that were used to build it....
here's a link, scroll down thru to see it its what you are looking for....http://www.ncrs.org/store/shop.cgi/page=index.html/SID=PUT_SID_HERE

The NCRS info will tell you how a typical car was originally configured, in great detail, but won't reference INDIVIDUAL cars; build information for individual cars built prior to 1977 isn't available anywhere except on the tank sticker or on original paperwork for that particular car.

That explains why a lot of those mid-year cars now for sale are loaded with options!

Unfortunately, I don't have either the tank sticker or original paperwork so I'll go with what I have, which is the car. I've known my '69 big block conv't since 1970 so I'm the tank sticker now.

Thanks for all the input!

Fred
