Those are some pretty rare cars you're looking for (especially the '95 LM, as John pointed out). Your best bets are this thread and the Callaway Marketplace on the COG site. Any we hear about or see are posted in one or both of those two places.

And don't get discouraged just because what you're looking for are few and far between. My '91 Speedster quest started with the same basic question you are asking, and it worked out pretty well for me (mine's not for sale, though). :D

The only places worth looking for those cars are:
here, callawayownersgroup.com, dupontregistry.com, ebay, and the barrett jackson auctions on occasion. I haven't seen anything like that for sale currently in the US though. In fact... I'm not sure I've ever seen an LM for sale in the US since I joined this messageboard.

There's an LM that's been for sale in Switzerland for months (maybe years) though.

I wish somebody with a camera would go to that dealership and take some pictures sometime. They have a really cool collection of used Callaways for sale, and always do.

THIS CAR ONLY HAS THE LM HOOD AND AIR SPLITER.
THE REST OF THE CAR HAS CALLAWAY AEROBODY NOT LM AEROBODY.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YEAR IT IS, BUT I KNOW IT IS A ZR1.:werd:

just for the hell of it, what are the current $ "valuations" of a C12, LM, and Speedster ?

They're so limited that you can't really say what they are going for, because not enough of them go on the market like Ferraris and Lamborghinis and the like. These special Callaways just go for whatever somebody is willing to pay.

The white C12 went for about $149k as far as I know though, which I honestly thought was shamefully low based on my inspection. Practically brand new, and about $80k less than the price when new. ;squint: Really sad.

If I remember correctly... the yellow C12 sold for even less, maybe $90k to $120k? :ugh

Isn't the Black "titanic" Speedster still not for sale somewhere? :)

Groeten Peter

does anyone know the real number of LM's built, and were they all built at the Callaway facility ? Also were there many options available, ie. engine, brakes, suspension, etc.

What's the difference between the LM aerobody and the regular aerobody?
LOOK AT THE GILLS FRONT AND REAR; THEY ARE FUCTIONAL ON THE LM'S.
ALL THE CALLAWAY LM'S HAVE THE REAR CABONFIBER WING.
THERE ARE MAYBE FOUR OR FIVE LM RACE CARS, FOUR STREET LM'S
AND ONE 91 LM SUPER SEEDSTER.
THERE ARE TW0 LT1 POWERED STREET LM'S; I THINK THEY ARE 93'S.
THERE IS ONE 95 LT5 POWERED STREET LM AND ONE 96 LT4 POWERED STREET LM.:_rock

are the whereabouts of these cars known, and are any of them for sale ?

I could not resist this thread..

There are 3 surviving LM racers
1. Freida/ #001 not for sale ever!
2. Huber/ Berwert LM, not for sale (in Switzerland)
3. The black Agusta GT-LM, somewhere in Norway...
4. The second Agusta LM, wrecked and parted out to repair #3

Ah, but there are several "not-Callaway" LM's so one must be careful not to assume they are real Callaways. One or two are roaming Europe for sale. Be afraid!

There is 2 C12R's
1. #001 Someone in NY..Was last known to be converted to GT2 specs after the LeMans run in 2001, not for sale as far as I have heard after several attempts.
2. #002 Urs Berwert in Switzerland..not for sale

Lastly, there is the C7R's
1. #001 sitting in Mecca as we speak
2. #002 May never be seen again!...deep in the mountains of Colorado.

Now John, dont get mad at me, but the Blue LM in Switzerland has a LT5 475 SN sticker in the back window...I cannot remember too much about the car as my stay was brief...But we all know yours is Da-best!!!

My recollection is that the car was originally an Aero and the LM hood was added and painted by Toni Seiler who now drives one of the Callaway Competition GT3's at his shop in Switzerland.

MIKE I KNOW THE BLUE CAR IS A CALLAWAY SN475 CR1.
TO MAKE IT LOOK RIGHT IT NEEDS THE LM FRONT GILLS, REAR BUMPER AND WING.
THIS COULD STILL BE DONE, BUT IT WOULDN'T BE CHEAP!
I EVEN HAVE A SPAIR SET RW WHEELS THA WOULD FIT IT.
:D
