Looks like one may be the original owner of this car, if it is bought ;shrug

I think I remember this one for sale, back in 2001 or 2002 :cool ...the decals, gave it away :W

...anyone up for rescuing it from Texas?? ;help

I must live in the wrong part of Dallas. ;squint: I've never seen a Callaway Corvette on the road, and rarely see any C4 Corvettes at all. I see more Ferraris than I do C4 Vettes, and something is wrong with that... ;squint:

maybe your eyes are not fast enough to spot "Callaway" Vettes ;LOL

It's back :cool

This Callaway Corvette is on display in our Dallas, Texas showroom located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Lane. We are open 6 days out of each week. Walk-in visitors and inspection appointments are welcomed.

BRB! :L

Nah... not today. But I'll try to make a visit to see it sometime this week. Cool news, I didn't know it was that close to me. 4 miles. :)

If anybody is interested in this car and wants me to take some specific pictures or write up a review, send me a PM!

K, will do. I might end up going out of town to deal with some stuff this week, but I'll try to get to this place in the next few days.

Does this car have some sort of history or something? They're asking $42k for it. I don't know the Callaway Corvettes too well, but I would assume that is pretty high...?:confused :ugh

Is there anything anyone specifically wants a picture of? I may be able to go check it out later this afternoon or tomorrow.

And is it just me, or is the throttle body cover on upside down? :confused

Brandon, the car was bought and used as a track/instructional car for the (Rupert) Bragg-Smith Advanced Driving School (nw ow known as Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School, who btw, has their own track Callaway :cool )

The car is real and well doccumented. As far as a parice, it has a lot of nice touches like the roll bar and belts. The decals on the rear hatch would HAVE to go though :ugh

Hmm, I'm definitely outside my realm of expertice, but I'll give it a thorough look through when I visit it (likely in about an hour).

Maybe if I'm lucky, they'll start it up for me and I can finally get a firsthand experience of how a SNAT sounds. I'll make a movie if so.

Brandon, come back with video of you driving it, or we'll revoke your man-card :D
LOL! Crap, I just lost my man-card!

I just got back home from taking some pics and video of the car. I didn't drive it as I wasn't offered the opportunity, but DAMN did it ever sound good! :eek

Chris-- Would you like me to email you my review and pics directly, or would you like me to just post that stuff here? Since I don't know the Corvettes as well as you, you might be able to improve on anything I say. (Like... I don't know what wheels this car has, or if those are the stock brake calipers/discs just by looking at them).

The videos are too large to email; 72MB and 36MB, so I'll just put them on youtube if they turned out nice. I haven't looked at the stuff yet on my computer, but hopefully they capture just how nice it sounded!

Brandon shoot me a PM with your email.
I can provide you a temporary FTP access to my database so you can upload the video without quality loss.
Then everyone interested can download it for their own use.

thanks for visiting this car, I hope this footage is as good as what you did with the white C12.

about the Man-card, I am in a similar situation with 89-10
I am trying to get an appointment made for a photoshoot and hopefully a drive but everytime it gets delayed.

:upthumbs

Alright, I'll send you a PM.

I think the videos turned out well, as long as you have a subwoofer on your computer speakers. :) They are 640 x 480 at 30 fps I think.

The pictures weren't too great overall. I got some good detail shots though. The high res (mostly) uncompressed pics are on webshots, so they're already pretty much originals.

So far it doesn't look like my review and pics of the car have helped the bidding on ebay. For $13k, sheesh, even I'd be tempted to sell my car and buy it. :ugh

6 hours left... maybe the price will jump? I'm no C4 Corvette expert, but I'd say it's worth at least 20k at bare bare bare bare minimum.
